The estimation of building’s protection against lightning is greatly important when selecting the systems of protection against lightning. The places of lightning samplers were estimated depending on required category of lightning protection according to the sphere method. The calculations were conducted so that they could show the maximum available distances between each lightning sampler while keeping the required level of protection against lightning. The results of the experiments revealed the tendency if the object is isolated at ground potential, the possibility of lightning bolt is minimal, especially when there are large constructions and objects, which are permeable to electricity energy and has the connection with the potential of the ground. If the object has the connection with the ground potential or it contains metal or other permeable constructions, the level of lightning bolt risk to the building rises dramatically. This research paper also contains the analysis of lightning protection efficiency, the experimentally evaluated risk of infringement, the calculations of maximum distances between locations of each lightning sampler in dependence on the categories of reliance. And, finally, there were evaluated the protection zones areas of the lightning samplers’ and their reliance of alterations in the thesis. |
