Abstract [eng] |
One of a few very important components of power transmission line is isolator. Majority of power transmission lines in Lithuania are overhead lines. As a result, they are affected by atmospherical phenomenons like lighting, rain, dust and remains of human activity - car and factory emission. Resistance of overheadline insulators on short 2μs impulse after lightning strike to a transmission line is being researched in this thesis. Electrical resistance changes of isolators is also being researched under different circumstances like when they are covered in various contaminants, when dirty isolators get moist and when the isolators are completely clean. All these cases are tested in order to replicate realistic conditions of working with isolators. |
