Abstract [eng] Qualitative research of journaling offset printing has been conducted. It is important to pay attention to the quality of separate prints as well as to the quality of the publication as a whole while printing journaling production. In this article the analysis of most common defects, sources of these defects and ways to eliminate them is introduced. The findings suggest that quality of print is adversely affected by improper choice of materials or incorrect development of technical process itself. In case where in single publication of journals production different quality paper is used, there could occur variety of color characteristics which negatively affects visual quality of the publication. The investigation of structural, optical, gradient, graphical and mechanical defects while printing was conducted. The analysis of defect causes and suggestions of avoiding them was done. The metering of colour differences ΔE between the analyzed specimens was conducted. Technological chapter features a whole process projection of offset printing - from receiving an order to pack-aging. The amount of publications, employees and work hours is calculated. The area of premises needed for the specific type of manufacturing is calculated. In the ecomical part the cost of reconstruction of GOSS M-600 and Speedmaster CD102-6 machines is calculated.
