Abstract [eng] |
The purpose of this Master’s thesis is to research vehicle noise and vibrations. In the project, the literature on the issues of vehicle and vehicle parts noise and vibration has been reviewed. It has been revealed what noise and what vibrations occur inside a vehicle while driving on different road surfaces (Panevėžys city asphalts, out-of-town asphalts, gravel roads) and disclosed how vehicle noise and vibrations can be influenced (reduced). Also, it has been revealed what noise and what vibrations occur inside a vehicle while driving over the artificial speed reduction barriers (protuberant crosswalks, speed reduction ramps, structurally marked rumble strips) that have been built for road safety. It has been found that while driving on out-of-town asphalts with the tires, the pressure of which is 1,5 and 3,0 bar, the acceleration of vibrations is very similar, but the level of noise is higher when the speed of driving is faster (this tendency was confirmed by all the tests performed during the research). The empirical research has also revealed that time of the day or the night does not have any significant effects on the level of noise inside a vehicle while driving along the same road section at the same speed, when tire pressure is the same. |
