Abstract [eng] |
The master‘s final project includes a review of the structure of the vehicle and a layout of safety elements. Also a description of the vehicle side structure deformation during an accident are being presented. The vehicle side sill structure and its components have been examined. The paper also introduces a review of vehicle separate elements connecting ways. The second part of the paper deals with the tests made to set the mechanical characteristics of the car sill steel element. The tests have been carried out with four car sill structures, one of them was a control one, which enabled to compare with differently repaired elements of doorstep structures. They have been tested by statically loading the vehicle side structure. The results have been analyzed and compared. Computer programs have been used to create computational doorstep structure models exactly echoing it. Strength analysis have been tested by bending the structure statically. The results have been analyzed and compared to the practical test results, and conclusions have been carried out. |
