Master`s thesis analyzes prospects of open data system in Lithuania. Open data has recently become one of the high-priority issues in many countries. Globally to this day there are made a lot of different studies and analyzes related to various aspects of open data. Meanwhile, about open data in Lithuania little has been written and analyzed. In the first chapter we discuss the concept and importance of open data. An overview of the potential failures and challenges of open data, also analyze system trends of open data. In the second section we analyze legal and political environment of open data, as well as open data systems main criteria’s. The third chapter analyzes the legal environment in Lithuania. |
