Abstract [eng] The final work overviews the analysis of polluting emissions and includes two studies – concentration of the mass dust and concentration of pollutants in smoke as well as calculation of multi-cyclone performance. Section 2 presents the research of heat losses from external surfaces of 8 MW vertical water heating boiler. Section 3 provides the calculation of the efficiency ratio of biofuel boilers in case of certain parameters. The boiler house was designed and installed in the city of Kaunas. The purpose of the boiler house is the production of heat and supply to the centralised heating networks of Kaunas city – both during heating and non-heating seasons. During the entire period of work, up to 20 MW of heat is provided to the network – up to 16 MW produced by water heating boilers and up to 4 MW produced by condensation economisers the capacity of which depends on the temperature of the return heating water and fuel moisture. The fourth and fifth researches present the performance of thermal calculation of boiler in case of variation of fuel moisture. The sixth research includes the study of operating parameters of the boiler in case of variation of fuel moisture and fractional composition. All researches were performed in order to improve the operating parameters of the boiler house. For the work of the boiler house to be effective and useful, it is necessary to control the operating parameters of the biofuel-consuming equipment.
