Abstract [eng] The investigation of bond strength of glass fiber reinforced polymer (GFRP) rebar was carried out in Master ‘s final project. A total of 66 cube-shaped specimens with rebar were subjected to the pullout test. Some of specimens were affected by high temperature prior to the pull-out test. The fire resistance test was carried out for these samples before the pull-out test were conducted on them. Test results showed more than 50 % reduction in bond strength between GFRP and concrete after 1 h of exposure to high temperature triggered by fire. To reduce the effect of fire on bond strength between GFRP and concrete, measures such as increasing protective concrete layer or using high temperature resistant concrete coating must be taken. The protective concrete coating used in this research showed only up to 30% loss of bond strength between GFRP and concrete.
