Abstract [eng] |
This study embraces usage of educational technologies in education of preschool children. Despite the young age preschoolers are good at controlling mobile technologies because they are in their everyday life. Tablet is favorable technology for the kindergarten students. This Master’s thesis explores why and how educational technologies should be used in the kindergartens. According to the preschoolers’ parents opinions about the technology in the educational process research (organized by me) educational technologies could be useful for their children education. In the various literature educational technologies help widen vocabulary, improve literacy and reading skills, raises children self-confidence, develops friendly attitude to learning process. Teachers are able to personalize education for children, make it full of different educational activities and very engaging by using educational technologies. Teachers need to decide what role educational technologies in the curriculum should take and how technologies should be implemented. To answer this question educational methodology for using virtual learning tools for education of preschoolers I have created. Next to it preschool education through virtual tools support system was designed along with interactive book named “Vaikams apie bites”. Preschool education support system and interactive book should support teachers implementing virtual learning tools into young children education. Interactive book was presented and used in kindergartens of “Vaikystės sodas” in Kaunas. Quality study of the book showed that children were engaged with the interactive book. It is a good support for teachers enhancing preschoolers’ education with virtual learning tools. Additionally some improvable issues were clarified. |
