Abstract [eng] The aim of master‘s thesis is to determine vibrations influence on clay base stability. Master‘s thesis consists of three main parts: literature review, clay study methods, results and discussion. In the first part the general principles of ground vibrations formation and their propagation are presented as well as frequency range of ground vibrations is analysed. Also, by analyzing articles published in scientific journals, ground vibrations effect on clay soil physical and mechanical properties is studied. In the second part of master‘s thesis clay study methods are presented. Two types of research methods are used in thesis: experimental and numerical methods. In the description of experimental methods the instruments and testing tools are indicated, conduction of experiments is specified, standards which regulate clay investigation are presented and equations to calculate the results are written. Numerical method used in this thesis is deformation analysis of clay basis that is exposed to different frequency vibrations conducted using finite elements software. In the third part the results of study and their discussion is presented. By using various diagrams physical properties of clay samples are compared, clay X-ray analysis, Proctor‘s and stress-strain curves and diagrams of shear tests are illustrated. In order to determine vibrations influence on clay soil properties, the results obtained from experiments without vibrations and with vibrations are compared. Finally, the results of numerical analysis using finite elements software are presented. By summarizing master‘s thesis 6 main conclusions are given. Thesis consists of 69 pages of text, 62 figures, 14 tables and 46 references.
