The new business models of shared mobility are rapidly spreading around the world, solving many environmental, economic and social problems. Although most of these business models are new in the market, some of them have successfully expanded and established themselves not only in local, but also in global markets. Usually the business development stage for a company is a very important one, but the successful extremely rapid expansion of new business models gives us an unanswered question - which factors have the greatest influence on the expansion of shared mobility businesses? The aim of this reserach is to analyze shared mobility business models and to evaluate the expansion possibilities of carsharing business models by using Shared mobility city index. The The objectives of the paper are the following: to analyze the importance of shared mobility business models for modern urban development; to analyze the concept of sharing economy; to analyze shared mobility business models, distinguishing the different types of business models; to identify the factors affecting the expansion of shared mobility business models; to evaluate the carsharing business model expansion into the Baltic region and Poland using Shared mobility city index. The research methods applied in the paper include analysis of scientific literature, statistical analysis,expert evaluation criteria to determine its significance and multicriteria evaluation methods SAW and COPRAS. |
