Abstract [eng] |
The goal of this thesis is to create automotive safe distance control system which includes distance calculation algorithm and its practical hardware and software realization. System functionality is to measure the distance to the obstacles which are in front of the automobile. The goal is implemented by analyzing distance measuring systems, communication protocols and methods for ultrasonic signal processing. Furthermore, distance measurement algorithm and its mathematical model was created and installed on its desired hardware for experimental research. Mathematical model is based on correlation method. Algorithm was run on DSP platform with a standard correlation method which gave unsatisfying execution time results using floating point arithmetic. The modification of the method with fixed point arithmetic and DSP operations was presented and finally gave satisfying execution time results. |
