In large, complex and dynamic portals are difficult to manage, update, search, summarize and link huge amounts of information. Semantic portal gives users a single access to multiple information sources. Topic Maps displays the information using a network of Topics (objects) (which can include all the concepts from people, countries and organizations to software, files and individual events), associations (represents the connections between subjects) and occurrence (copy) (including specific information resources related topics). Topic Maps can run a search and presentation of the various sections. Topic Maps make it possible to provide information on a specific topic (in the field dictionary). |
