Abstract [eng] |
Computer graphics is a whole complex of applied specific and art graphics for the production and design preparation of which modern computer hardware is used. Students of Raseiniai Technological and Business School are able to choose a subject of computer graphics comprising 80 academic hours. While teaching this optional subject, it has been observed that there exists no teaching tool fitted for teaching computer graphics at vocational schools. This causes troubles to learn the subject well since the students find it difficult to take notes of the material taught and perform the given tasks at the same time. Therefore, it is purposeful to create a teaching tool intended for an optional subject of computer graphics making it available via the Internet. The aim of this paper was to create an interactive computer tool intended for teaching the subject of vector graphics. The work reviews existing teaching tools used for learning vector graphics and establishes criteria based on which a relevant computer teaching tool has been created. A teaching tool comprises the teaching material, practical tasks, tests and a vocabulary. The new computer teaching tool was created applying HTML/CSS and Flash technologies. The work presents an experimental research which has revealed that the grades of students who used the new computer teaching tool “Learning CorelDRAW” were higher. With the help of a questionnaire it was found out that students use the new teaching tool willingly and perform practical tasks eagerly. The complexity level of the tasks gets higher gradually, which encourages the students to analyze the teaching material. The newly developed teaching tool is suitable for using at the classes of vector graphics. The results of the performed experimental research confirmed the efficiency of such teaching tool while teaching computer graphics. |
