The purpose of this scientific analysis is to support or refute the prevailing opinion of the public, on the asphalt pavement quality. This scientific analysis consists of three main sections. The first section presents findings results for determining and influencing the state of the pavement quality obtained using statistical data and scientific literature. The second section of this scientific analysis defines physical and mechanical properties of asphalt mixes. It also describes main laboratory research methodologies for asphalt concrete mixtures. The analytical part of this section outlines the research results and displays their graphic representation in comparison with standard norms. The third section of this scientific analysis evaluates the main quality parameters of the asphalt pavement, such as smoothness, thickness, compaction etc. The analytical part of this section presents the tests results and compares them to the standard norms. The summary of research findings and test results is presented in the conclusion’s section. |
