Abstract [eng] The master thesis studied the joist deflection, depending on the cross section and prodused material. Wood is a building material over the years created by the nature, using fixed solar energy. Trees are the oldest plants. In our climatic zone, tree trunk to an appropriate size to use in construction growing 100 year or more. That’s why we should use wood ration. Dimensions of examined joist samples: height 150 mm, length 600 mm, width 50 mm. Total 32 samples. It was used 7 different components to improve the joist deflection: 1,5 and 3 mm thick sheets of tin, 6, 8, 10 mm thick oriented strand board (OSB), and 5 mm thick wood fiber panel (MPP cardboard).
