Master's thesis analysis the advantages and disadvantages of the apartment block renewal (modernisation) programme with respect to the modernised and non-modernised residence owners. According to the obtained results, the recommendations are provided for the solutions of the problems related to the analysed programme. 198 apartment owners of the renewed apartment blocks and 213 of owners of the apartment blocks that were not renewed. Convenient selection was applied for the performance of the research. During the research it was established that in the opinion of the modernised residence owners the biggest advantages of the apartment block renewal programme are the decrease of the residence maintenance costs, the compensation provided by the State, increase of the residence value. While the disadvantages are: the lack of information on the benefits of the renovation, lack of personal funds/ hesitation to take a loan, absence of the guarantee of the compensation of financial losses due to unachieved results. On the other hand in the opinion of the non-modernised residence owners the biggest advantages of the apartment block renewal programme are: the decrease of the residence maintenance costs, extended time of house exploitation, change in the aesthetic view. While the disadvantages are: the position that the house renewal works are improperly performed, absence of the guarantee of the compensation of financial losses due to unachieved results. According to the results obtained during the research, the recommendations how to eliminate the defects of the programme. Thesis is comprised of 2 parts: Theoretical analysis of the apartment block renewal (modernisation) and research part - Apartment block renewal (modernisation) programme advantages and disadvantages from the point of view of modernised and non-modernised residence owners, conclusions and recommendations, literature list and annexes. |
