An important factor in ensuring quality user interaction on websites is proper accessibility. There are many tools on the market for assessing different aspects of accessibility, but their coverage is limited. There is a lack of clarity on how to audit website information systems, and the processes used in practice are often not fully automated or are inefficient. This paper analyses and aims to investigate accessibility auditing and verification of web-based information systems. It presents a developed knowledge base and methodology for conducting accessibility auditing, based on which a prototype has been developed to conduct an experimental study. The results of the experiments are also presented, analysed, and a test of the hypotheses developed is performed. The conclusions of the study are presented. |
