Abstract [eng] Digital transformation is impacting on many areas of life and society. It is gradually changing the management of processes in pre-school institutions. A wide range of processes are taking place in these institutions, all of which can be digitised. Different digital platforms are used for this purpose: some of them are mandatory and used by all pre-schools in the country, while others are mandated by the municipality or chosen by consensus of the institution. This raises the need to create a customised virtual environment to manage the activities of the pre-school or to improve and integrate existing systems. This paper provides an overview of the processes of a pre-school institution and vibeanalyses the possibilities for digitising them. The electronic diary is highlighted as one of the digital platforms that can be used to manage the institution's processes. However, this platform is not sufficient to realise all the processes of a pre-school, as the digital diary usually covers the educational process, the evaluation of children's achievements and the provision of information to parents about their children's education and their daily activities in the kindergarten. The aim of this thesis is to improve the process management of a pre-school institution by adapting an e-learning diary with extended functionality as the official information system of the pre-school institution. In order to achieve this goal, the possibilities of the electronic diary system "Eliis" for the realisation of the processes taking place in a pre-school institution were analysed and a model for the improvement of this platform as a virtual environment for the management of the processes of a pre-school institution was developed. A usability study was carried out on the platform development model and it was found that it would be convenient to organise all the processes of the pre-school institution in one system and to link the other systems in use by means of an integration relationship so that they could exchange data with each other. Extending the functionality of the Eliis e-diary would increase efficiency, reduce time and save the environment by eliminating the need to print many documents. The paper also highlights the importance of the digital competence of the e-Diary user, as the functionalities of the e-Diary for process management are under-utilised. Users are not aware of the full potential of the e-Diary and lack digital competences. It is therefore important to provide staff with related support. In order to help users to better understand the possibilities of Eliis, a methodological tool for the Eliis user has been developed, which describes the functions of the system in order to make more effective use of the possibilities it offers for the management of the institution's processes. The tool has been published on the Eliis account of the kindergarten "Z" of the Vilkaviškis district so that users can quickly and easily find it when they are logged into the system and encounter difficulties in using it. The tool is structured, using textual explanations, illustrations and videos to accommodate different learning styles. In view of the continuous updates of the Eliis system, the tool needs to be regularly reviewed and adjusted.
