Properly planned and executed manufacturing strategy has the most influence on the success of the company. The strategy of the company has to be constantly adjusted by selecting priorities and investing in them. For the manufacturing strategy analysis, Company X – manufacturer of wooden pallets was selected. The aim of the thesis - to analyse the manufacturing strategy of Company X and to offer solutions that would help to improve it. The problem of the thesis - the lack of flexibility in manufacturing strategy of Company X. In the first part of thesis theoretical sense of manufacturing strategy is disclosed. Analysing the concept of the production, manufacturing strategy, its design principles, it comes to the SWOT analysis. The second part focuses on the analysis of Company's X manufacturing strategy. Market needs and SWOT analysis as well as analysing the competitive priorities and decisions matrix, discovering the X company's manufacturing strategy weaknesses. In the third part, proposals for the manufacturing strategy of Company’s X updates are made, making it more flexible. Address new strategy objectives: production of new products and creation new motivation system. Key conclusions: 1) After analysing production development strategy of Company X, it was concluded that it lacks flexibility. 2) In order for the company's strategy to become more flexible, Company X should start to produce a new product and introduce new motivation system. 3) The evaluation the updated production strategy of the company, it can be said that new product and new employee motivation system will help the company to become more flexible. |
