Abstract [eng] |
Physical education is understood as the development of physical abilities using equipment for sports activities. Although one of the components of the lessons is the games of certain sports, which should be inclusive, unfortunately, recently, it has become more and more difficult to engage students in active participation in physical education activities using non-interactive tools for sports with the usual game elements. The development of information technology provides an opportunity to integrate various technologies into all subjects in the educational process. When organizing physical education lessons remotely, various information technologies were used, the use of which caused challenges, but after acquiring the knowledge and abilities to use these technologies, these technologies are also used in contact physical education activities. The project analyzed the subject of physical education at school, the physical activity of students, the factors influencing it, the influence of the use of information technologies on the motivation of students to actively participate in physical education activities was analyzed. The literature sources used revealed that in Lithuania, as in many other countries, only one fifth of students are physically active. Most do not spend at least an hour every day on moderate to high intensity active physical activity. This leads to a high level of morbidity among adolescents and deteriorating public health indicators. Physical education lessons are uninteresting for students, due to the out-of-date content of the lessons, non-innovative tools used, and cause the main problem discussed in the work, that students are not physically active even during physical activities. In order to evaluate the possibilities of using information technologies, their influence in encouraging students to actively participate in physical education activities, three studies were conducted. The first two studies revealed students' attitudes towards physical education, aspects of motivation to actively participate in it, teachers' expectations, the need to update the inventory and raise competence in how to use information technology in lessons. These studies made it possible to identify which information technologies recommended to be used in lessons in the list of digital tools published in the general program of physical education best meet the needs of the respondents in order to encourage students to actively participate in physical education activities. The prepared website contains recommendations for promoting physical activity of students, a learning course, which contains educational material on how teachers can use information technologies in physical education lessons according to the prepared recommendations. The teachers of the school that participated in the study, after familiarizing themselves with the recommendations and completing the training course, were allowed to use the recommended information technologies in their classes for 30 days. After this stage, the third study was conducted, evaluating the dynamics of physical activity of students after starting to use information technologies. The created product is evaluated positively, because the physical activity of the students has increased. The entire community of physical education teachers is invited to familiarize themselves with the recommendations presented on the website, the training course is publicized in the Moodle environment of the National Education Agency. |
