Abstract [eng] |
The research project is an analysis the application of high-voltage direct current (HVDC) links in Lithuania and the technologies that are currently in use and are planned for future use. The effects of harmonics on the HVDC system are investigated based on the Fourier transform. Using MATLAB Simulink software, a back-to-back HVDC LCC inserter based on the „LitPol Link“ converter in Lithuania is modelled. Harmonic analysis is performed on the existing model to detect commutation faults in the HVDC system. From the constructed HVDC link model, a harmonic analysis is performed and the resulting second and third order harmonics are used to calculate the fault prediction. The results of the experimental model are compared with the results of the CFPREV commutational fault detection method for the same converter. The obtained results show the higher capeability of the experimental model to detect commutational faults over the standard CFPREV method. |
