In the century of fast growing information, we encounter with enormous amount of data, which is difficult to manage, evaluate and analyze. This Master’s work analyses the problem of university data management and finds solution how to improve administration of studies process for employees of the faculty and rectorial. First part analysis the concept of data cube, reviews the most usable software of business intelligence solutions. Describes Microsoft SQL Server 2005 and ProClarity Desktop Professional 6.3 software package in detail. Second part of this paper discuses architecture of university data analysis system, projects key components and prepares to realization of the system. In the third part realization of the system is performed, during this process data storage and various cubes are created based on KTU abandoned data base. In the fourth part of this paper various data diagrams are drawn using Excel 2007 and performance map diagrams are created using ProClarity Analytics. These drawings enable to perform analysis of university data in many different dimensions. System of KTU DS data analysis creates new opportunities in the process of university activities improvement by analyzing information of modules, students, lecturers, studies programs and other. |
