| Abstract [eng] |
With its significant role in global trade, accounting for around 80% of trade volume and 70% of its value, the maritime transport industry is a crucial pillar of the global economy. However, it is not immune to the challenges posed by rapid technological advancements and increasingly stringent environmental regulations. The need for qualified ship design engineers is a pressing issue, as it hampers the development of technologically advanced and environmentally friendly ships, which are essential for the sector's competitiveness and adherence to international standards. This gap in expertise is not just a matter of industry development but also a potential hindrance in the transfer of expert knowledge. Ship design engineering, being a critical factor in ensuring high operational standards, directly impacts the performance of the maritime transport sector. This research is an essential tool in supporting the maritime transport industry's transition to a more sustainable, technologically advanced future by addressing the challenges of developing expert knowledge in ship design firms and providing innovative platforms. |
