Abstract [eng] |
One of the main components of the implementation of this transformation is renewable energy resources. Their promotion is considered as a way of energy policy, which aims at a more sustainable energy system. Successful implementation of this policy requires stakeholder engagement and strong political will to ensure the effectiveness of the mechanisms. Also, the bolder actions of the European Union in this area were motivated by geopolitical events, which led to the desire to increase the countries' energy independence. This issue and others, such as energy security, energy availability, etc., are solved with the help of energy policy. Taking into account the European Union's energy policy and geopolitical events, it is relevant to analyze these aspects. As one of the members of the European Union, Lithuania, together with other member countries, is committed to achieving common goals and is one of the countries most affected by the named geopolitical situation, so the problem arises as to how this policy of renewable energy resources implemented by the European Union affects the Lithuanian economy. |
