Application development is a process that becomes increasingly complex depending on the intricacy of the application being developed. Development techniques and methodologies exist to manage and control the complexity of this development process. Amongst the techniques to manage the complexity of the application development process is Domain-driven design (DDD). The Master thesis describes a method for internet portal development where DDD method is supplemented with ontology based on project specification that describes domain models. To automate the application of ontology to the portal development an automated tool is created to read ontology file and create main files needed for DDD architecture to present domain. Using the implemented automatic tool the project development time is saved and the mistakes are avoided that could be made by programmers when the domain objects are created by hand. |
