The aim of this master‘s thesis is to create plastic granules from plastic waste, replace coarse aggregate with these granules and create environmentally friendly and durable concrete product, ablock, out of this concrete. In the first part of this thesis, analysis of the literature is performed, problems of plastic waste for nature and human are eludicated, different types of plastic waste and possible ways of using plastic waste in creating different building materials and products are discussed. The expermentual part explains the purpose and tasks of investigation, describes materials and samples used in the investigation. In research methodology, plastic granules of different compositions are created, forces, to which granules disintegrates are determined and the most racional composition‘s granules are selected for concrete production. Concrete with racional plastic granules are product, its composition is being improve in order to obtain the most environmentally friendly strongest possible concrete. The most racional composition of concrete is selected for production of concrete block. Also, the calculation of water absorption and the prediction of resistance to freezing and resistant to freezing test were carried out. |
