With the development of musical technologies and the emergance of new devices that facilitate people‘s creative work, artificial intelligence technology is becoming more and more established, which is currently being applied in the music industry. Innovations are improving the technology of generative artificial intelligance, which is capable of generating various musical works, but the tendency to apply this technology in personal music composition is difficult to see. Artificial intelligence is capable of generating music that can be applied to personal music composition by modifying them, thus achieving an authentic sound. The aim of the work is to apply sounds generated by generative artificial intelligence in electronic ambient music. The relevance of the work is based on the purpose of finding out the possibilities of applying the sounds generated by generative artificial intelligence in the composition of ambient music, thus contributing to new creative discoveries using this technology. The work has fulfilled the set tasks: to review the technology of generative artificial intelligence and the features of its operation; review the characteristics of ambient music; review and compare generative artificial intelligence sounds and generative music platforms, cases of their application in ambient music; create an electronic ambient music composition by applying sounds generated by generative artificial intelligence. The structure of the work consists of an introduction, which describes the relevance, novelty and problem of the work. A theoretical part that discusses the technology of generative artificial intelligence, performance characteristics and reviews the generative artificial intelligence platforms: „Meta Music Gen“, „AIVA“, „MusicLM“ and „Riffusion“. The theoretical part also discusses the peculiarities of ambient music, and reviews music of ambient music composers Max Richter and Brian Eno. The practical part describes the application of generative artificial intelligence in creating an ambient music composition, presenting generated sounds, the stucture of the music, the plugins used in the composition and the modifications made to the audio tracks generated by the artificial intelligence, and the application of the selected sound effects is discribed. Modifications to the generative artificial intelligence soundtracks were made taking into account the compositional techniques analyzed by Brian Eno and Max Richter. At the end of work, an electronic composition of ambient music created after applying the sounds generated by generative artificial intelligence is presented. |
