Nowadays, social networks are used by almost everyone and not only for communicate with friends. Cafes-restaurants, museums are using them for advertising, business – in order to cater for customers’ needs, even political parties or individual politicians are trying to improve their ratings with social networks. Benefits are recognized by nearly everyone. So why not to combine social networking and learning process by integrating some social tools into virtual learning environment. This encourages more students to take interest in their education, to communicate with studies friends, to share relevant information. Virtual learning environment (VLE) is a system designed to support teaching and learning in an educational setting. In this work is described most popular social networks and social tools in Lithuania and world, is carried out the research about social networks and is described how to improve virtual learning environment by integrating some social networking tools into it. The main purpose of this work was to find social networking tools which can help to make studying process more attractive for student and which fits the best for virtual learning environment. |
