Recently, continually applying IT solutions to large companies and banks exchange data, among the various systems, have become important as never before. Often, major project‘s part of time and budget is spent on integration of new system with other systems used by the organization. This work describes a real stock accounting system architecture development case. The system architecture has been replaced because existing monolithic system’s architecture began to interfere with new challenges and further development of the system. A comparative analysis of possible solutions have shown that the best way to further development the system is Service-Orientated Architecture (SOA), with Lahrman template adaptation that should reduce system implementation time and improve system availability rates. Applying Lahrman template for the analyzed subsystem, it was complemented by controls that restricts users‘ interface access not only to functions he is assigned to but also to the data, thus eliminating overflow of functions and ensuring the autonomy of the individual parts of the system, while at the same time systems‘ expansion was increased. In order to ascertain the usefulness of desicion three part experiment has been done, during which subsystems‘availability, response and error solve time has been studied. The experiment has shown that the web services-based architecture helped to reduce errors decision time on average by 7.1% and shortened the time that the system is unavailable by 31.87%, but the system response time increased by 9.8 per cent (an average of 1.58 sec.) which is much shorter time than the SLA contract provided 30 seconds. |
