Master's thesis analyzes the problem of the lack of integration of the business processes and constraints affecting the organization's operational efficiency. The business processes and business rules modeling and visualization techniques, their integration capabilities, existing solutions of integration are analyzed and described, requirements for integration of business processes and business rules are defined. The method of integration of business rules in business process diagram and implemented prototype are proposed giving a possibility to set up business rules and connect them to the elements of business processes diagram, use them later in other information systems development process. According to the BPMN metamodel and existing constraints of business the list of BPMN elements is identified which items are appropriate for defined type of constraints to be assigned to. Thus, a possibility to duplicate the business constraints in the business process model is limited. Business rules are constructed according to the SBVR standard guidelines and the constraints of implemented prototype of the method, and represented in the text annotation element in BPMN diagram so that no new elements are created in BPMN and BPMN metamodel is not changed. An experiment has shown that this method results in expanded business model by business knowledge, which includes operational dynamics, static and dynamic constraints. The results of experiment have been evaluated on the basis of qualitative and quantitative criteria. This ensures the completeness of the model. Business rules integration into business process model allows organizations to increase data integrity and improves the efficiency of information to be re-used in the business. |
