Workflow management systems are becoming more popular every day both among business companies and scientific publications. Automated business processes not only enable us to implement organizational management procedures but also speeds up the work place, establishes order and reduces man-made errors. It is not difficult to implement simple workflow processes using already existing technologies, like MS Sharepoint Services. However, deeper analysis of business operations shows that it’s not enough to have such simple workflow processes. This thesis examines new workflow automation possibilities by combining MS Workflow Foundation libraries and MS Sharepoint Services. Such decision enables us to implement almost all of W. Van der Aalst patterns which are considered to be the standard of workflow management functionality. These possibilities applied for automation of communication processes between customers and project participants in the organization developing information systems. |
