The main problem in heavy load web applications (built with PHP using template engines according by MVC (Model – View - Controller) methods) is waste of temporary information used in scripts execution. In order to enhance performance, temporary information must be cached and kept for the repeated usage. Therefore it was analyzed software-based caching method and various template engines, requirements for template engines (MVC) and caching function. The template engine which had showed the best results was Smarty. Accordingly the Smarty template engine was redeveloped by changing the main class and caching function. |
