| Abstract [eng] |
This paper examines the impact of the Emissions Trading System (ETS) on the amount of greenhouse gases (GHG) emitted by Lithuanian companies. In the review part, an analysis of literature sources related to emission permits is carried out, different stages of ETS in the European Union are reviewed. Also have been analyzed the causes of climate change and why the ETS trading system was created and legalized. In order to assess the impact of the emissions trading system on Lithuanian companies, which are required to account for the amount of greenhouse gas emissions, historical emissions of greenhouse gas emissions by the largest polluters in Lithuania since 2013 were examined and the change in emitted pollutants with the change in the price of CO2, the influence of tightening conditions and the effect of the annual reduction of the emission ceiling according to the linear reduction factor are evaluated in parallel. |
