Purposely used information technology can become a useful tool in creating and improving the educational process. Without a school community and professionals who know how to use the tools in a targeted way, technology loses much of its meaning. This paper deals with the problem of improving the digital competences of school employees. Work object is to enable school employees to improve their digital competences using a virtual support system. The product will facilitate and support the preservation of digital competences acquired during distance education. The first part of the work deals with the issues of the structure of digital competences and the need for school employees. After conducting a study of the need for the improvement of digital competences of pedagogues, it was found that the improvement of digital competences is important not only for pedagogues, but also for other school employees. The most important topics for improvement are highlighted by areas. In the second part of the work, decisions are made on the use of virtual learning technologies for independent learning. Although there are different methods for self-learning, but the method of virtual learning support After reviewing the methods of self-learning, the need for a virtual support system for a specific organization emerged. In the third part of the work, the system is designed. After analysing the tools, the tools selected for the product realization are Google Websites, Google Calendar, Google Meet, Conversations, Google Forms, Canva, Genially, Loom, Google Forms, Google Sheets and App Scripts. The fourth part describes the developed system for improving the digital competences of school employees. The system was implemented at Vilnius Antakalnis progymnasium. The system provides support for employees learning to use Google Workspace for Education and other digital tools, viewing instructions and methodological materials, useful links, performing verification tests, reserving tools, registering for consultations, communicating in the support group, and updating Internet access data. After carrying out a quality assessment study of the application of the digital competence support system of school employees in the junior high school, it was found that the employees use the system quite often (8 participants out of 26 indicated that they used the system once a month and 7 - that they used it more than once a month), they consider it necessary (13 rated very high-quality, 10 partially high-quality) and purposefully provided support, 24 out of 26 participants agreed that the system manages to find necessary and relevant support). The interviewees shared their thoughts on improving the system. Advised to add a few additional topics or to expand the already existing ones, dedicated to specific educational subjects. Considering the quality assessment study, recommendations for further development of the support system in the future were made. |
