Abstract [eng] |
The current global economic, social, and political unrest has brought increased importance and attention to the activities of non-governmental organizations (NGOs), which operate for the benefit of society. However, while these organizations work for the public good, they also face a multitude of stakeholders who are interested or even demand feedback – information / evidence – on their activities. Given that the performance of NGOs depends on their stakeholders, this sector faces a problem of ensuring accountability and transparency. In the context of this study, accountability and transparency are understood as a set of requirements that cover the disclosure of information about the efficiency and effectiveness of funding use. |
