Rising youth unemployment in Lithuania is a very topical issue, as a growing proportion of young people are facing it. Young people are increasingly having difficulty finding their first job. The sharp increase in youth unemployment and underemployment is due to long-standing structural barriers that prevent many young people from making a successful transition from education to work. Not all young people face the same difficulties in finding productive and remunerative work, and the extent of these difficulties varies from country to country. The Master's thesis examines the causes of youth unemployment in Lithuania and the options for reducing it. Analyzing the unemployment rates of different age groups in Lithuania, youth unemployment is by far the highest, and it is therefore very important to address this problem, as rising youth unemployment can lead to major economic problems in the future. |
