The main purpose of this master thesis is Research of Gas Pipeline Welded End-Cap Strength. There has been conducted a literature review including pipeline failure analysis, strength and strain analysis of pipelines as well as various methods used to analyze pipeline failures. The paper presents the analysis which examines how pipeline’s diameter, end-cap’s form (spherical and elliptical) and wall thickness is correlated to the welded joint, which connects the pipe with the end-cap, mechanical heterogeneity as well as pipe’s and end-cap’s geometry. |
