Mobile robots are devices that can move freely in space. They are rapidly gaining popularity in various fields: industry, scientific explorations, rescue operations and so on. The most important for mobile robots is the ability to control them remotely. Then we have possibility to safely inspect the desired objects are difficult to access or hazardous locations. It is also possible to measure the object parameters: size, temperature, emitted gas, electromagnetic signals, etc. Scientific article discussed about mobile robots, which are controlled by wireless technologies. To get this possibility additional equipment is needed, which complicates the construction and increases the power consumption of the mobile robot battery. The master thesis describes real time video transfer techniques using only smart devices. Investigated stabile video transfer options in buildings and open areas. Analyzed command transfer methods from smart devices to mobile robot onboard computer. Investigated stable commands and sensors data transmission. Experiments was made with mobile robot platform controlled by Arduino. |
