Topic relevance and novelty: Only Latvia and Lithuania policy analysis was done in 2010 m., however Lithuania‘s and Estia‘s migration policy comparison has not been carried out in the recent years. In conclusion, it‘s safe to say that this topic is relatively new and according to newest guidelines, still little explored. Research objekt: Forming of Baltic countries work migration policy. The aim of he research: Perfom a comparison between Estia‘s, Lithuania‘s and Latvia‘s work migration policy, aiming to highlight the main challenges and evaluate possible prevention measures in Baltic countries. Objektives of the researsch: : 1. Review policy studies community‘s work migration theories used for analysis. 2. Perform the last 3years an analysis of Baltic countries migration patterns. 3. Present an analysis of Baltic countries long-term country‘s strategies identifying work migration policy‘s priorities and measures. 4. Distinguish work migration policy in Baltic countries, main differences, and while enumerating the pros and cons. Investigation methods. For this assignment, the comparative analysis method is used, an analysis of legal acts and documents that regulate migration policy is performed. Assignment‘s structural rationale. In the first part, a literature analysis is performed. In the second part, the European Union‘s, Baltic countries work migration policy forming stages are carried out. In the third part, an comparative analysis of implementation of labour migration policy n Baltic countries. The main findings: Baltic countries are performing different work migration policies. They were formed differently from the beginning of recovered independence. Estia had one migration aim, which was made of migration and work migration policy‘s forming basis, while in Lithuania and Latvia, greater attention was paid to individual problems. Historic heredity has a big influence too, which is why the countries to which Lithuanians, Latvians and Estians are migrating to are different. Estia can be an example to Lithuania and Latvia forming work migration and implement policies. |
