| Abstract [eng] |
The topic of project is called “Analysis of the Republic of Lithuania Police Model Correlation with Police Officers In-Service Training“. The relevance of the research is based on the fact that Lithuanian police as an organization is changing, trying to abolish its image as a criminal organization and trying to be closer and more involved with communities’ activities. In order to implement these changes in 2014 Lithuanian police established new operating model - community-oriented policing model in which police officers are required to develop solutions to the causes of crime in cooperation with members of the community. Movement toward the community-oriented policing model requires police officers to abandon traditional policing thinking (crime fighting) and move to more open, problem solving approach. |
