Abstract [eng] |
This final project presents a design and analysis of a 3-axis numerically controlled milling machine (CNC). The thesis also includes literature review of CNC milling machine construction. The main machine construction elements and gear management have been analyzed. The design part chooses construction type of the machine. The technical task has been completed and the algorithm of the project has been created. The power needed to the spindle has been calculated. The right gear of the Y-axis has been determined. The deformation of framesupporting columns has been evaluated using the method of finite elements, by loading them with constant force. A fundamental controller scheme for a stepper motor has been created. A prototype for CNC milling machine has been made and used to determine positioning errors of X, Y, and Z axis. Vibrations towards the X axis of the table have been measured; motion dynamics have been determined. The radial run-out of the table gear's lead screws open end has been determined. The controlling signal of the stepper motor has been analyzed. After the analysis, the machine condition has been evaluated and conclusions have been drawn using the measurements. |
