| Abstract [eng] |
The transportation of items or bicycles is the biggest problem while planning your holidays or trips by vehicle. When items are transported on the exterior of the vehicle, drivers face with additional fuel costs. The types of bicycle racks for vehicles and their structures are analysed in the paper. The paper also reveals advantages and disadvantages of each type of bicycles racks for vehicles and explains bicycles transportation requirements based on the laws of the Republic of Lithuania. The main aerodynamic elements which have the major impact on the aerodynamic drag force have been also defined in the master’s degree paper. The analysis of air flow around different vehicle bodies has been made in the paper as well. SolidWorks programme has helped to prepare accurate digital models of the vehicle, bicycles, bicycle racks for vehicles and the crossbars. |
