Abstract [eng] |
Nowadays Enterprise Resource Planning systems have become very popular and almost an inseparable part of business. However, ERP development projects still require large investments of both money and time, and do not necessarily always produce the desired results or cover a small part of organization processes. Situations like this show a necessity to conduct research on ERP implementation as a core of “Smart Organization” to reduce expenses and enable additional automation possibilities for the organization, reduce human factor errors. This work is focused on the analysis of integration methods and their advantages and disadvantages, also on the most popular ERP systems according to Gartner, and modules of those systems with integration and process automation possibilities. The main task was to find enterprise resource planning systems suitable for automated integration processes to control, send or receive data from sensors, other software and hardware. Based on the analysis and findings a conceptual model of “Smart Organizations” was designed. The core of a such “Smart Organization” is an improved Enterprise Resource Planning system, because it has all necessary information. After implementation, an experiment was conducted and the results show that prototype is suitable for practical use, it covers ninety percent of potential demands, ensures an acceptable system reliability and the transaction execution time is sufficient for the smooth functioning. It was established that Enterprise Resource Planning systems have enough perspectives to be developed to cover commonly used activity processes for “Smart Organizations”. The experience gained during this study helps to solve automation problems. |
