Subject: the impact of emotional intelligence to strengthening leadership. The aim of the study: to base the impact of emocional intelligence on leadership improvement. To achieve the work subject there were raised four targets, which led to the structure of the work: first defines the concept of the leadership, second reveals the concept of emotional intelligence and the areas of emotional intelligence are analyzed. The last part is intended to determine the impact of emotional intelligence on leadership strengthening. Study was performed using scientific literature analysis method, questionnaire, correlation analysis and statistical analysis methods. The scientific literature analysis allows to define the leadership as a process, which persuades the followers to take action for certain purposes. Emocional intelligence in the scientific literature is defined as the ability to understand emotions, accept and generate emotions and reflexively react to them. Emocional intelligence consists five areas: self-awareness, self-control, motivation, empathy and social relations. The first three areas cover personal competence, the remaining two – social competence. During the reaserch there were determined average level of the leadership of the respondents and the high level of emotional intelligence. Theoretically based concepts of leadership and emotional intelligence have allowed to carry out the reaserch of the impact of emotional intelligence on leadership, which results suggest that emotional intelligence has a strong impact on the enchancement of leadership. From the personal competence the leadership is mainly influenced by motivation and social skills fron social competence. Emocional intelligence areas allow to strengten the majority of the areas of the leadership of the leader. |
