The theme of the Master‘s Final Thesis is relevant because the quality of financial reporting and the audit of financial statements are related to each other and have a significant impact on information users and their economic decisions. However, there is no common structured approach to these two phenomena interfaces. The audited financial statements are regarded as the reliability and transparency evidence. Using this information, the parties adopt relevant economic decisions. In order to meet the needs of users, financial statements must be of high quality. This objective can be achieved by audit. However, the parties have lost confidence in corporate financial information, the auditor's work and the regulators. As a modern business environment is constantly changing, consumer disclosure and accountability is growing, it is necessary to examine the auditor's opinion importance and the company's financial statements quality. Main results of research are that audit opinion has an impact on financial reporting quality. There is positive correlation between audit opinion, previous years audit opinion and financial reporting quality. These results confirm previous research. The empirical research also provides some evidence of the impact of the direction and magnitude of the audit opinion change on financial reporting quality. |
