Increasing competition, globalization, knowledge and innovation-based economic development, changes in consumer values and growing demand for quality make many business organizations transform from traditional management organizations to project organizations. It is therefore important that companies adapt to the new project-oriented business environment, accommodate the company’s projects and project methods with the company's business strategy. Research object: the application of project management methodologies (PMM) in business projects. Work objective – to create an integrated model of the application of project management methodologies in business projects. Work tasks: 1. To reveal the peculiarities of application of project management methodologies in business projects. 2. To analyze the theoretical aspects of application of project management methodologies in business projects. 3. To create a theoretical model of the application of project management methodologies in business projects. 4. To analyze empirically the application of project management methodologies in business projects. The results revealed the most commonly used project management methodologies in Lithuania, their features, advantages and disadvantages, the major reasons for usage and non-usage of project management methodologies. The theoretical model was validated and refined in accordance with the theoretical results, it serves as a tool for choosing the most appropriate project management methodology. |
