Abstract [eng] |
In every organization the most important role is played by the manager. This person takes the responsibility for activities that are carried out by the organization, performance results, strategic future perspectives and welfare of employees. To cope with such organizational challenges, the manager with appropriate qualification and right personal traits is required. Lately the subject of effective manager features is increasingly being discussed not only in society and organizations, but also in a scientific context. It is common for the analysis of the personal characteristics of managers to mention mostly the positive aspects, while the negative traits of a manager, such as manipulation, cynicism or aggressiveness, are rarely discussed. These and some other negative traits of managers are related to the dark triad which consists of machiavellianism, narcissism and psychopathy. It is admitted that these manager’s personal characteristics can affect the emotional state of the employees of the organization and even lead to professional burnout. |
