Abstract [eng] The final master's thesis reviews the results of the researchers' research on the strength and stiffness of sawn timber, glued timber and 2T-beam beams, their behavior under loads, the influence of wood type and origin on wooden beams, their strength and stiffness. Autodesk RSA software is used in the thesis. The selected software uses the finite element method to calculate the strength and stiffness of structures. The work will calculate the strength and stiffness of two-support beams, compare sawn timber, glued timber, 2T-beams, compare their strength and stiffness at safety and suitability limit states according to „Eurocode 5“ (EN 1995-1-1:2005). The wooden beams will act under a uniform load. Permanent load - part of the roof partition, after considering the weights of the part, the calculated load for the beams is 0.647 kN/m2. When calculating the snow load according to EN 1991-3:2003 „Eurocode 1“, the 1st district is selected, where the snow load is 1,20 kN/m2, the topographical characteristic of the area is protected, the place where the structures in question are clearly lower than the surrounding area or surrounding trees and/or surrounding taller structures. Since the roof of the designed building is accepted as non-operational, the work assigns that the roof use category will be H - inaccessible roofs, except for normal maintenance (EN 1991-1:2004 „Eurocode 1“, 2011), in which case the roof use load according to the assigned roof use category is 0.40 kN/m2. For wind load according to EN 1991-1-4:2005 „Eurocode 1“, the 1st wind load district is selected, air density ρ = 1.25 kg/m3. According to the wind load district, the value of the main wind speed vb,0 = 24 m/s, terrain category - III (sections completely covered with vegetation or blocked by buildings or separate obstacles, separated from each other by less than 20 obstacle heights (eg., villages , suburban areas, permanent, whole forest)), it is assumed that the building is located in a non-mountainous area, the wind load will be calculated upwind and downwind. The strength and stiffness of the beams will be compared under the above-mentioned loads, by changing the structure span, width, height, pitch of the beams, as well as comparing the beams according to the cross-sectional area and weight, the obtained results are displayed in the graphs.
