The thesis includes criteria that determine the activity level of the Birstonas municipality local communities and describes the positive attitude of local government towards the participation of local communities in autonomy. The obtained results will be presented to local communities in the form of recommendation material. The MA thesis consists of three chapters. Chapter one analyses the scientific literature sources related to local autonomy and the concept of local community, its types activities and participation. Chapter two presents an analysis of legal acts that regulate the activities of local communities. Chapter three introduces research methodology and research results. Research results are summed up, and conclusions are presented. |
